NAFE Newsletter: Vol 1, Dec. 2007

The North Andover Foundation for Education is entering its second year. We are grateful for all of the support we have received from the North Andover community over the past year. We made our first donation this Fall to the public schools, and the $18,000 donation partially funded an art teacher at the high school. With the addition of this art teacher class sizes were reduced, and students were able to be fully scheduled.

We kicked off our second year of fundraising with a very successful second annual Walk for Kids this September, raising over $4,000. Thank you to all who supported this fun event. Smolak Farms has again offered to partner with us this Christmas season and will be donating $1 to the Foundation for every tree sold at the farm. The PEACH partnership with Georgetown Savings Bank is ongoing and they will donate $100 to the Foundation for every checking account opened that mentions the Foundation.

We are also in the development stages of another partnership with a local business. Look for upcoming details. Preparations are underway for our direct donation campaign, and our Spring fundraiser. In addition, we are discussing other worthy proposals.

As in any organization, efforts proceed more quickly with more personnel. Please contact us if you would like to assist in our efforts in any way.

Thanks again for your support.
